After the beating we took on the imagine cup i have been crying all day and all night. No, that is a lie. good thing we didnt get through, i have been working my ass off since the last post. Just finished the CS6120 report on reccomender systems and now that i have developed the next greatest prediction algorithm i feel i have earned a break. So with this break i have finally upgraded this blog to wordpress 2.5 and boy does it look shiny. I will have to take a much closer look at it over the next few days but so far i have noticed that things seem just a little bit clearer than they were before.
Im going to try my best to review this movie without swearing and calling it a steaming pile of monkey shit, and review it with an open mind so here it goes.
The film starts off on a mountain top with a band of gypos living in tents and chasing CG woolly mammoths. The rules of this band are that the first pikey to kill a CG mammoth wins a shitty spear thats looks about as deadly as a turd in a jar. The shitty spear makes this gypo the leader of the merry band of gypos. So anyway one of the pikeys kill a CG mammoth by accident and wins the turd in a jar and all his other pikey buddies hug him in a, way too merry for it to be straight, fashion. Then some arabs show up, kill some of the gypos and kipnap the rest. Luckily though our leader of gypos goes to save them. Whats follows is a shit adventure movie through horrible cg landscapes and all English speaking African tribes help our reluctant travelling mongoose.
Now that Ive described the amazing plot lets talk about the actors. There is nobody overly famous in this accept that guy who played the Islamic fundamentalist in True Lies. Other than him the acting is appaling especially out of our super gypsie. The main baddy has this really annoying fake joke voice that makes him sound like hes spent all his life deep throating cocks. There the only two characters you give a toss about so i wont bother talking about anyone else.
Special effects are like something from six years ago, i.e Shit. All the aninmals look like something out of Nintendos Animal Crossing and the land scapes are awful.
Ok thats it im sick of talking about this turd, so ill sum it up in a few words. Watch Apocalypto instaed and then don’t ever watch 10000 bc. Bad times.

I am afraid i have awful news. We were less than successful on making it throu to the second round of the imagine cup. So in other words we didnt get in so dont be expecting Epoch on a console near you anytime soon. This could be a blessing in disguise though as all the assignments are coming quick and fast now and i need all my time. Also its time to think of a project now and i am not too sure what to do. I will be doing a game i think. wouldnt mind it anyway. A game about learning or something. A quick development and research idea. I know the current technologies so hopefully i will be able to gather the research materials straight away. Anyone got some suggestions?
Bar that everything else is college work, including a very broken version of Blackjack. It seems the swf file works on a PC but doesnt work online so i cant put up an example. Sorry. I’ll throw it up anyway of course so look at the flash page for it.
And that about wraps it up. I might try and write epoch myself in my free time so if anyone is excited then expect a release date sometime next year and dont expect anything that would warrant that much development time.
Just added a few updates to the site. Firstly i cleaned up the stumble upon list in the first column on the right. Feel free to have a look. Now it lists the name of the site stumbled rather than just saying it was a site, photo or video. Hope this helps those sites listed get a hit or two from here, you have to share the love. Also the old images had no alt tag so i was getting errors from accessability scans which are very important in class at the moment for Human Computer Interactions. Next step is the list of current visitors that Darran has running in his sidebar. I’m all about the way too much information.
Over the weekend i managed to aquire Call of Duty 4. It is quite the game and Mr Foott you were not lying. Our few hours playing on Saturday were most enjoyable and once i have the time free again it off to finish it on veteran, It is tough though. Those foolish americans an their large scale gunfights in side alleys, i never know where the bullets are coming from. But thats enough of that. Unfortunately it doesnt have a cool screenshot feature so no Album of ingame shots. There is however a level editor so i might try my hand at that sometime, see what people think, if anyone wants to try a map or two.
I got an N95 over christmas and so i have tried to use every capability of the phone. To this end i have found a system to render 2D barcodes. If you have a barcode scanner on your phone then point it at this and check it out. If you dont know what i am talking about then check out this for examples of the different uses and types.
Hi, I just managed to finish the php quiz for college. no all i need to do is get it filled up with content. This is where this site comes in. The few stragglers i get wandering in i would just like to point you in the right direction the quiz is here. I have Stumble Upon helping too so hopefully we will get the old database filling up soon.
And speaking of Stumble Upon I have also gave a nod to Darran’s site and it seems to be filling up quite quickley. Hopefully he will get some new followers out of it anyway. Gotta love the returning Visitors.
Finally, thanks to everyone who congratulated myself and Orla on the six years, its been alot of fun and maybe next year we will have a party.
Just a quick update. I have been going out with orla 6 years today. I have spent the past 2 days cut off from everyone after cooking a wonderful steay dinner and a chocolate fudge sponge cake ( not from a box a swear). Now i am back in reality so we finished our little weekend off with a trip to KCs and got caught on the Web Cam. Funny thing was that it was mikes parents anniversary on friday. Now theirs was a wedding anniversary so my congratulations to them and thanks for the invitation also. I didnt make it but i heard a fun night was had by all.
And i am afraid that is about it. Off for another week of project work and check back for links to the various pieces of work I have done. Perhaps I shall add a page with everything i have written, in flash anyways.
It has been a little while since the last update. But guess what, Nothing has happened. Its back to college and time to pick our subjects. Unfortunately over the week i have not been able to decide what to drop. I am enjoying everything, and i did miss one lecture so i cant drop that. I’ll just have to keep looking.
Of course the reason I missed that class is because we were working on a part of our imagine cup game. It seems this may just be ok afterall. I will expand on these details once we have it submitted for round one. The suspence must be killing you
During my rushing around I have heard that the Swatch Internet time, the Beat, is trying to have a buit of resurgance. I think this deserves my somewhat limited support so i will do what i can to promote it. Expect the Swatch Time badge on the sidebars in the future. so maybe even by the time you read this. Try refreshing the Page, go on. Darran has also notified me of a feature of Php. it actually gives the time in beats so i will have my posting times displayed in beats too. How exciting is that?!?!?
