Hello again. There has been quite a break. My last post didnt go up properly either and i didnt even get a chance to have a look at why. Since the last working post we have had our first proper Halo 3 Gaming session and the inaugral 5 a side Halo 3 Soccer game. The Good news, it worked Brilliantly. The bad news is that my 360 decided to cock up again and didnt store the games’ replays. So no Pics for the site and no video of the match either. Perhaps i can get some off someone else.

There are some more goods and bads, well one really. we managed to get the 1hour defend achievment on GRAW 2. everyone in the room was exstatic, Everyone that is except me i am afraid and while i was pretty happy i was also not impressed because once again my 360 decided to not allow me to get the achievment because it was not connected to live.  I nearly cried. I will never get a chance to do that again, maybe. If anyone wants to do that and they are here reading my tale then plase give me a shout on Live, the Gamertag is on the right.

How many could you take on?

In a completly unrelated topic its gaming night tonight and hopefully everyone knows when and where its on at this stage. I will be spending christmas taking the pictures from the replays to put up here i think. I will also be our first Official Halo 5 – a – side Soccer Tournament. We designed what may just be the greatest gametype and map ever for Foundry on Halo 3, we still havent gotten all the kinks out yet though but expect a final version soon. There are some new photos up of the evenings playing in my album for all to enjoy. There should be many more going up after this saturdays gaming EXTRAVAGANZA. its so great we have even got mike to go! I might actually bring a camera to document the event but even if i dont then there will be the halo pics to keep people amused. I also sorted out my file share so now you can get the wonderful and frantic 28 sconds erly map variant and game type. if you dont have them go grab em.

Time to put up some new pics. These are both from playing games and real life. Since i have been putting up my Halo screenshots i thought i should also throw up some Team Fortress 2 ones. seeing as they are already on my machine here and all i have to do is drag and drop them. Also i have yet to get my 360 back from footsie, stoopid me and being busy but it has meant i have been able to concentrate more on something i cant quite think of at the moment.

Here is the question. Do i try and get this site out there, increase traffic, maybe even try and get adsense working to my advantage? or do i sit back and leave it here to do its job? It is already paying for itself and its a nice private space to tinker with web technologies and see what i can do? There is a happy medium of course, just plug away the way i am going and see what comes up. What i do know i need is some pictures on the page, the balck is starting to get me down. Thus ends my week off. Still no ideas for a film for the assignment. I did sort some stuff out on this site though. The film section is back in action so feel free to have a browse. no actual new films I’m afraid but at least its something. I have added a link to my college webspace, its pretty bad at the moment, only has a quick quiz assignment for digital publishing and the start on a whole MySql piece. I plan to put something together for it in the future, i swear.

We have had a little break in the whole assigments thing this week with the revelation that our video assignment will be more long term than originaly expected. It will be finishing up in march of next year and i have to make and edit my own film. I am considering working on a documentary about our entry for the Imagine cup. It would be left unfinished though because we are going to win and that means filming cant finish untill May. I think i need to rethink this concept.

However this does leave me with a surprisingly free week and i have decided to use this to work some kinks out of this site. Read More…

After a hearty session of trawling through the code with Mike and Darran for a while I have finally managed to complete that Stupid walking Man. He is attached to this post so if you are desperate to have a look then go right ahead. You will need a VRML viewer however so i suggest Cortona as that is what he was developed on and knowing this stoopid language its all he will run on. Be warned though, the stop button wont work and there is an issue with the slider i gotta work out but other than that he is absolutly perfect… kind of.
